Extracurriculars (Non-Sports)

Altar Servers:  Boys and girls who have received their First Communion and who are in Grades 4-8 may receive altar server training.  The trained servers assist at school Masses, weekend Masses, and other liturgies.  The training and practices are typically twice a year.
Choir:  The participants in the school choir are in either Choir I (Grades 1-4) or Choir II (Grades 5-8).  Each choir performs  monthly at  one of the weekend Blessed Sacrament Church Masses.  At the weekly school Mass, the older group serves as cantors.  Either one or both choirs may provide the music for the weekly school Mass.  The choirs practice weekly after school.  During Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter, the choirs may practice more often.
Readers Group: Students in Grades 5-8 may participate in Readers Group. The Readers Group has an active part in the school Mass by reading the scripture, Responsoral Psalm, and prayer intentions. Readers Group meets weekly to practice for the upcoming school Masses.
Junior Beta Club:  The Junior Beta Club is a nationally recognized service organization for qualifying 7th and 8th graders. Criteria include academic and behavioral expectations.  These students sponsor fundraising events to benefit specific charities.  The monthly meetings are scheduled after school.
Dance:  Through our Extended Day program, Dance Express offers afterschool dance instruction to the younger children.
