BSCS CHOIR TO SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM - 4:30 - February 25th
BSCS Choir will sing the National Anthem at the Carolina Challenge Cup at the Charleston Battery Stadium (Daniel Island) on Saturday, February 25th, at 4:30 p.m.
Well all the classes are busy working on Holiday music and learning lots of new things. Check out below what each class is doing.
K3 and K4 classes are still working on steady beat and rhythm. The students have experimented with all the unpitched percussion instruments.
K5 students are working on pitch and moving from high to low and low to high. They are now learning to use the barred instruments.
We are busy in music learning some new Holiday songs and adding instruments to accompany them.
The 2nd grade is busy having fun with some silly songs that use the orff instruments; Grandma Grunts, Grandpa's Wiskers, Turkey and we will read the book Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell .
We are very hard at work learning the music for our Christmas program. We will be putting on Five Golden Rings by Jeff and Randy. Our program will be on December 15th at 7:00 pm.

The fifth graders will be putting on a Performance Thursday on November 10th on Veterans Day at 1:50 pm in the hall.
We are also working with 3rd and 4th grade on the Christmas Program which will be on December 15th at 7:00 pm in the Hall,
We are working on a Thanksgiving piece call The Sukkah, How Beautiful by Grace Nash. It is a traditional Jewish harvest festival song.
The 7th grade is working on a neat Thanksgiving piece by Grace Nash called Hear My Thanks Today. The students are playing all the barred instruments and singing.
The 8th grade has started a unit on Musical Theater. We will be talking about ballet first and watching Swan Lake.
Choir 1 will be singing at the Sunday 9:00 mass on November 6th.
Choir 2 will be singing at the Sunday 9:00 mass on November 20th.
