Individual Point Goals are written on each child's Accelerated Reader Sheet
It is very important for you and your child to keep up with Accelerated Reading. Each quarter the students will be given a goal to meet. Each Wednesday I will be sending home your child's test folder. On the left hand side is the Accelerated Reading Sheet. This sheet must be initialed and must always remain in the folder. Each week it will be updated with any new tests and points that have been earned. Students will be given time daily in class for reading to meet their goal. Each quarter they will receive two grades: one for the points they earn, and the other for the percentage of comprehension they achieve. It is very important to keep up with AR (accelerated reader). You will notice that I have attached a link to AR book finder. This will be helpful to check the reading level and point value of books that your child would like to read.
